Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Standards are set here - where the densest university landscape in Europe meets the most sports clubs in Germany, in one exceptionally sport-loving region.

Broadcast Manager (m/f/d)
 
In freelance work (fee-for-service contract) for the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
temporary contract from 30.06. to 28.07.2025
 
The position is located within the Broadcast department. As a Broadcast Manager you will be part of the HB Core Team.
 
We are hiring for the following location:
  • Essen: International Broadcast Center (IBC)

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Oversee and management of HB/RHB activities, centralized in the IBC or at the venue
  • Support the planning of Host Broadcast activities in one of the following areas: technic, production, Post-Production and Broadcast Servicing
  • Contact person for external service provider, partners and functional areas of the LOC
  • Problem and conflict resolution in a diplomatic manner
  • Facilitating the internal and external flow of information

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Experience in host broadcasting with a specific focus on sport events
  • Excellent understanding of the respective sub-area (technology, production, post-production and broadcaster servicing)
  • Working proficiency of English required, ideally German as well
  • Work in a dynamic and sports-enthusiastic environment and have a good understanding of live production
  • Reliability
  • Experience and knowledge of RR2025 sports is a bonus

The work is compensated with a project fee based on the period of working days, the demands of the sport and the experience and skills you bring. The travel costs are included in the project fee and will not be compensated.
