The position focus on content creation and storytelling for the Media Info System (MIS), an essential resource for accredited media that will feature amazing stories, updates, and quotes from the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games.
Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:
- Based at the Main Press Centre (MPC) in Essen, supervise the overall quality of content produced for the Media Info System (MIS)
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and accuracy across all published materials
- Work closely with News Service Coordinators and Remote Editors to prioritize and refine content for timely release
- Provide editorial guidance and support to contributors, offering feedback and suggestions for improvement
- Serve as the final checkpoint for all MIS content before publication
Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:
- Proven experience in content creation, media management, or event coverage (sports events preferred)
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple contributors and tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and leadership skills for coordinating teams (Photographers’ Coordinator, News Service Coordinators)
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail (News Service Remote Editors)
- Familiarity with media workflows, content management systems, or large-scale information distribution tools (experience with MIS platforms is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in English (German is a plus)
