Freelancer Non-Sports & Culture - Focus on Concert Production Management (m/f/d)
 
In freelance work (fee-for-service contract) for the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
temporary contract from 19.07. to 26.07.2025
 
The position is located within the OC in the Non Sports & Culture department. As part of the Non Sports & Culture team, you will be responsible for the implementation of the supporting programme at one of the respective festival locations (focus Bochum, Essen, Duisburg) to create a unique event experience for spectators and student athletes 

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Coordinating stage management, artist management and event management and acting as an interface between these parties 
  • Coordinating and organising rehearsals and ensuring the show runs smoothly 
  • Management of the entire event schedule - from set-up to sound checks, admission and show to dismantling 
  • Acting as the central point of contact for all technical teams, the venue and the artist crews involved 
  • Monitoring the load-in and load-out process and ensuring that all procedures are carried out professionally and on time 

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Sound knowledge of the technical stage operations of festivals/concerts, e.g. from the areas of production management, assistant director  
  • Ability to work in a structured manner and organisational talent 
  • Excellent communication skills, both in direct contact and in written form 
  • Very good German and good English skills 
  • Sense of responsibility, commitment, flexibility and ability to work independently as well as a willingness to work festival hours 
  • Good organisational skills, a structured way of working, quick comprehension and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and to set priorities  
  • Very good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Teams) 
  •  Driving licence class B
