Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Intern Sport Entries (m/f/d)
 
In the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
Full-time / 40 hours per week / compulsory internship for 3-6 months
 
The position is located within the OC in the Area IT & Technology. As an Intern Sport Entries, you will help to lead the implementation of Sport Entries operations. The Sport Entries team is responsible for managing the athletes’ registration for the FISU World University Games using FISU Online Registration System.
Each delegation is responsible for entering their own athletes according to the regulations and procedures defined by FISU. The Sport Entries team must ensure that all entries are received accurately within the requested entry deadlines before the entry data is transferred to On-Venue Results (OVR).

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Testing the Sport Entries module of the FISU registration system
  • Working closely with the Sport department to make sure all requirements for sport data collection are captured
  • Managing the process of the athletes’ entries and monitoring the progress of the registrations
  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the athletes’ data. Verifying that the sport data is collected according to FISU requirements
  • Verifying that delegations register their teams according to the allowed quota per FISU regulations
  • In collaboration with the Timing&Scoring, define the key requirements of the Sport Entries Module. Transfer to OVR of accurate information with minimum possible number of missing or wrong data
  • Managing Sport Entries desk at the Welcome Center for the Delegations (location: Düsseldorf airport)

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Enrolment at a college/university/vocational school, ideally in the fields of sports management, sports economics, event management or similar
  • Compulsory internship according to study regulations for a duration of 3-6 months
  • Experience working or volunteering for the sport events is welcome
  • Advanced computer skills and experience in using Database Management Systems
  • Advanced level of Excel
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Flexibility and excellent communication skills
  • English is a must. Any extra languages is an added value
