Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Intern Timing, Scoring & Results System (m/f/d)
 
In the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
Full-time / 40 hours per week / voluntary or compulsory internship for 3 months
 
The position is located in the Technology department. As an intern in Timing, Scoring & Results System you will be responsible for the coordination of operational processes in the area of timekeeping and results management. You will support our team in the preparation and implementation of competitions in 18 different sports and gain valuable insights into the technical and logistical organization in the background of major sporting events.

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Coordinating the volunteers in 18 different sports in the area of timekeeping and results
  • Liaising with the basketball scouts, planning their arrival, training and coordinating their tasks (e.g. data entry, scouting platforms) 
  • Assisting the Atos team with arrival and logistics planning related to results services 
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation and reporting 

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Enrolment at a college/university/vocational school
  • Mandantory internship according to study regulations for a duration of 3 months or voluntary internship for 3 months
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Interest in sports and the technical/logistical side of event operations 
  • Hands-on attitude and ability to work in a team
  • Good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office 
  • The following knowledge would be an advantage:
  • Experience in timekeeping and scoring, ideally at major sporting events 
  • Background and practical experience in high performance sport, preferably in one of our 18 sports
