Full-time / 40 hours per week / Compulsory or voluntary internship for 3 months
Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:
- Issue visa letters to individuals of relevant client groups as required
- Prepare and distribute relevant visa information materials to educate client groups on the visa application progress in their home country
- Assist in delivering an efficient visa support service that will ensure efficient and timely responses for persons requesting specific documentation and visa information. This service is specifically implemented in the three month period prior to the Games
- Be responsible for the communication flow (and responses) for visa and travel enquiries ensuring that all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner
- Work in collaboration with other functional areas to deliver on tasks as they relate to relevant client groups attending the Games
- Other tasks as deemed relevant to the level of the position
Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:
- Be completing an academic degree in the area of sport/event management, international relations or other relevant field
- Be familiar with (or be able to quickly grasp knowledge of) the visa requirements of foreign nationals wishing to enter Germany
- Have an understanding of how functional areas interact in a multi sport event environment to achieve common goals
- Be culturally and globally aware
- Have patience and empathy
- Have a high level of flexibility and be a self starter
- Be a person who strives to find a solution to challenges
- Excellent communication and mediation skills
- Be fluent in English. Additional language skills would be an asset but are not required for the role
