Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Standards are set here - where the densest university landscape in Europe meets the most sports clubs in Germany, in one exceptionally sport-loving region.

Intern Venue Management (m/f/d)
 
In the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
Full-time / 40 hours per week / voluntary or compulsory internship for 3-6 months
 
The position is located in the Operations department. Here you will provide support in the planning of sports and event venues, analysing the needs of various service departments and creating documentation to present the venues as well as detailed schedules and timetables.

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Support in the specialist planning, organisation and implementation of the event for one or more venues
  • Planning, preparation and follow-up of appointments, meetings and presentations
  • Supporting the (junior) managers in managing the creation of overlay plans (taking into account the respective requirements) and the organisation of site visits and venue workshops 
  • Collaboration in the development and preparation of schedules, timetables and personnel plans as well as coordination of the trades involved in the event on site
  • Collaboration with all functional areas of the LOC (e.g. the sports, overlay, logistics, catering, security and volunteer departments)
  • Supporting the operational management of the venue during the event (assisting with set-up, manning information stations on site, working with and instructing volunteers, attending briefings, dismantling and returning the venues)

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • You are enrolled as a student in the field of sports management, sports economics, event management or similar  
  • Enthusiasm for sports and events 
  • High level of sociability and ability to work in a team
  • Structured way of working, quick comprehension
  • Creativity and initiative
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of Office 365
