Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Junior Manager Games Management System (m/f/d)
 
In the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
Full-time / 40 hours per week / temporary contract until late summer 2025 or in freelance work (fee-for-service contract) from 01.07. to 31.07.2025
 
The position is part of the Technology department. You will be working on the Games Management System. This system is used by multiple operational teams, to register all accredited participants of our Games and plan our operations. You will support those teams to use the system as efficiently as possible, working towards Games Time. During the Games, you will ensure the smooth running of operations from the TOC. 

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks :

  • Communicate with multiple functional areas (Accreditation, Transport, Food&Beverages, etc.) using the system
  • Collect the last requirements for the system, and follow-up on their implementation 
  • Support the organising committee teams using the system to define Games Time processes (change management, communication, etc.) 
  • Coordinate with other technology stakeholders
  • TOC (Technical Operations Center): 
    • Support with the set-up
    • Occupy the GMS position in the TOC during Games Time (alternating shifts with the GMS Manager)

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Previous experience in events technology and information systems, ideally with a Games Management System
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Critical thinking and decision-making
  • Proactive and autonomous
  • Knowledge of English. German is a plus
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
 
We are a young & growing organisation in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr Innovation Hub. You will play a key role in the Organising Committee in the successful planning and implementation of the FISU Games.

If the personal requirements fit, the job will be evaluated with the remuneration group TV L 10. In the case of hiring a freelancer, the work will be compensated with a project-based fee, which is determined by the requirements of the task and the experience and expertise you bring.
