Full-time / 40 hours per week / temporary contract until late summer 2025.
Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks :
- Coordinate the onboarding, training & deployment of attachés and information service volunteers in Berlin
- Assist in the preparation of shift planning for attachés and information service volunteers and manage these shift plans for the Games delivery period in Berlin
- Coordinate requests for attachés from delegation and FISU Family members at Games time
- Assist in the management of attaché welfare during the Games delivery period to ensure that attachés are supported wherever it is required
- Assist in the bump in and bump out of the Main Information Centre (and other associated areas) in Berlin
- Ensure the Berlin Main Information Centre is fully functional as per plans developed by the Information Services Manager
- Work in conjunction with other FAs to ensure their relevant MIC area is adequately staffed during the MIC operational period in Berlin
- Oversight of the MIC, accommodation information desks and sport information desks in Berlin during the Games delivery period
- Other tasks as deemed relevant to the level of the position
Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:
- An academic degree in a relevant field
- A knowledge of the importance of information services at a large-scale event
- Experience in managing volunteers in a previous role
- Have an understanding of volunteering in a multi-sport event environment
- Have an understanding of how functional areas interact in a multi-sport event environment to achieve common goals
- Be culturally and globally aware
- Be motivated to ensure that information services are at a five-star level and that the event experience is amazing for relevant client groups
- Have a high level of flexibility and be a self-starter
- Be a person who strives to find a solution to challenges
- Excellent communication and mediation skills
- Fluent in English. Ability to speak German is not necessary but would be an asset
