In 2025, the world will come to the Rhine and Ruhr region to celebrate sport, science and culture. Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Standards are set here - where the densest university landscape in Europe meets the most sports clubs in Germany, in one exceptionally sport-loving region.

Live Producer (m/f/d)
 
In freelance work (fee-for-service contract) for the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
temporary contract from 13.07. to 28.07.2025
 
The position is located within the Broadcast department. As a Live Producer, you will be responsible to deliver a reliable and top-class world feed. Ensuring an unbiased coverage, correct delivery of all Production Elements and creation and execution of multilateral running orders. Further you will be in permanent contact with Event Presentation and the sports Department during the competition. 
 
The exact date and location of deployment varies for each sport.
 
We are hiring for the following locations and sports:
  • Essen: Table Tennis, Artistic Gymnastic, Judo, Rythmic Gymnastic, Fencing & Tennis, Taekwondo, Archery
  • Essen / Duisburg: Table Tennis & Beach Volleyball
  • Bochum / Essen: 3x3 Basketball/ 3x3 wheelchair Basketball & Basketball
  • Bochum: Athletics
  • Duisburg: Rowing, Water Polo, Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony
  • Mülheim: Badminton
  • Berlin: Diving & Swimming, Volleyball

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Prepare and Produce the Multilateral Signal
  • Coordinate with Functional Areas in a LIVE environment (especially Competition Management and Event Presentation) 
  • Make sure all timings are met as fixed in the multilateral running order (MRO)
  • Oversee the delivery and quality of all Production Elements 
  • Support and coordinate external Servcie Providers e.g. TV Graphics, etc.
  • Oversee the ongoing Competition and ensure sharp storytelling

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Experience in a Live Production environment 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • Understanding rules and regulations of the respective Sport 
  • Proven record of Producing Multilateral Signals (World Feeds)

The work is compensated with a project fee based on the period of working days, the demands of the sport and the experience and skills you bring. The travel costs are included in the project fee and will not be compensated.
