Manager Venue Accreditation for the Location Bochum (m/f/d)
 
In freelance work (fee-for-service contract) for the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
temporary contract from 01.04. to 31.07.2025
 
The position is located in the Area IT & Technology. 
 
As a Venue Accreditation Manger (m/f/d), you will help with the implementation of Accreditation operations in the Auxilary Accreditation Centre in Bochum, Lohrheidestadium. The Accreditation team is responsible for managing the registration of all Participants of the 2025 FISU World University Games using FISU Games Management System.
 
To be successful in this role, you will need to build close working relationships mainly internally with Functional Areas, especially Venue Management and some external stakeholders. One of key parts of this position will be education, both internal and external partners on the zoning strategy and access control, especially for the complex venue of Athletics as well as the access strategy for the Ceremonies. 
 
The role reports to the Accreditation Manager - Operations. Before moving to Venue Post in Bochum, the successful candidate with support the wider team in the 
Uniform and Accreditation Centre in Essen. 

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Data validation and discrepancy checks of registration data on the FISU Games Management system.
  • Function checks and role assignments on the Accreditation module of the FISU Games Management system.
  • Supporting the Operations Manager with Matrix creation and allocation of access privileges
  • Working closely with the Ceremonies and Security team on Access strategy for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies
  • Supporting the Operations Manager in preparing accreditation cards and system testing 
  • Managing Policies and Procedures for Accreditation
  • Managing the Bochum Venue Accreditation Centre
  • Managing the allocation, production and distribution of additional passes

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Evidenced previous experience in Accreditation operations
  • Experience working with suppliers and external partners.
  • Good understanding of international sports events and internal structures of an Organising Committee
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Strong ability to build and maintain working relationships with other departments.
  • Experience in managing both competition and non-competition accreditation facilities
  • Fluent English, additional language will be a bonus

The work is remunerated with a net daily wage of EUR 280.
