The position focus on content creation and storytelling for the Media Info System (MIS), an essential resource for accredited media that will feature amazing stories, updates, and quotes from the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games.
Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:
- Work on location in Essen to oversee the flow and timing of all content generated by the News Service team
- Coordinate with reporters, flash quote volunteers, and photographers to ensure timely and comprehensive event coverage
- Assign priority levels to stories, quotes, and updates based on editorial strategy and media needs
- Manage the schedule of content uploads to the Media Info System (MIS), ensuring consistent and organised delivery
- Act as the central point of communication between editors, reporters, and the Media Services leadership team
- Monitor the MIS to ensure that all accredited media have access to up-to-date and engaging stories about the FISU Games
Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:
- Proven experience in content creation, media management, or event coverage (sports events preferred)
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple contributors and tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and leadership skills for coordinating teams (Photographers’ Coordinator, News Service Coordinators)
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail (News Service Remote Editors)
- Familiarity with media workflows, content management systems, or large-scale information distribution tools (experience with MIS platforms is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in English (German is a plus)
