The position focus on content creation and storytelling for the Media Info System (MIS), an essential resource for accredited media that will feature amazing stories, updates, and quotes from the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games.
Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:
- Work remotely to edit, refine, and polish content provided by news service reporters, flash quote volunteers, and other contributors
- Ensure all content adheres to the editorial guidelines and reflects the spirit of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games
- Collaborate with the News Service Coordinator to prioritise and edit time-sensitive updates, including athlete quotes and feature stories
- Proofread and fact-check content to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality
Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:
- Proven experience in content creation, media management, or event coverage (sports events preferred)
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple contributors and tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and leadership skills for coordinating teams (Photographers’ Coordinator, News Service Coordinators)
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail (News Service Remote Editors)
- Familiarity with media workflows, content management systems, or large-scale information distribution tools (experience with MIS platforms is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in English (German is a plus)
