In 2025, the world will come to the Rhine and Ruhr region to celebrate sport, science and culture. Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Standards are set here - where the densest university landscape in Europe meets the most sports clubs in Germany, in one exceptionally sport-loving region.

Intern Media (m/f/d)
 
In the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
Full-time / 40 hours per week / compulsory internship for 3-6 months
 
The position is located in the Communication - Media department. As a member of the media team, you will primarily be responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of content as well as the organisation and support of media representatives.

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Media monitoring, documentation of media coverage
  • Creation and editing of short texts in German/English
  • Support with mailings and distribution list creation and maintenance
  • Support in the coordination of the ‘Young Sports Media Talents’ / ‘U-Media’ project
  • Support with enquiries from press representatives regarding media services
  • Support with communication with external service providers

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Enrolment at a college/university/vocational school
  • Preferably a degree in media, marketing, communications, sports and event management, sports science or similar
  • Experience in the creation and formulation of texts
  • Mandantory internship according to study regulations for a duration of 3-6 months
  • Project management skills
  • Interest, fascination and enjoyment of sport and major sporting events
  • Strong communication skills
  • Open, friendly demeanour, team player
  • Structured way of working
  • Good knowledge of Office 365
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
