In 2025, the world will come to the Rhine and Ruhr region to celebrate sport, science and culture. Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Standards are set here - where the densest university landscape in Europe meets the most sports clubs in Germany, in one exceptionally sport-loving region.

Sport Presentation DJ (m/f/d)
 
In freelance work (fee-for-service contract) for the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
temporary contract from 13.07. to 27.07.2025
 
The position is located within the Event Presentation department. As a DJ (m/f/d), you are responsible for creating an engaging atmosphere for spectators and athletes in the competition venue with music selection and playback. The exact date and location of deployment varies for each sport.
 
We are hiring for the following locations and sports:
  • Berlin: Diving, Swimming, Volleyball
  • Essen: Archery, Artistic Gymnastics, Basketball, Fencing, Judo, 
    Rhythmic Gymnastics, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis
  • Duisburg: Beach Volleyball, Rowing, Water Polo
  • Hagen: Basketball
  • Bochum: 3x3 Basketball, 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball, Athletics
  • Mülheim: Badminton 

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Compile daily music playlists according to our official RR2025 music library and the respective event and sport protocol
  • Playback as directed by our Venue Producer, including popular songs and interactive tracks, short stings and sounds, instrumentals and the FISU anthem

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Experience working as a DJ at large events, preferably sport events
  • Solid DJ mixing and playback skills and knowledge
  • Ability to follow scripts, cues, protocol, and directions from a producer
  • Working proficiency of English required, ideally German as well
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and understand the challenges of live production 
  • Reliable and consistent
  • Experience and knowledge of RR2025 sports is a bonus
 
We are a young & growing organisation in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr Innovation Hub. You will play a key role in the Organising Committee in the successful planning and implementation of the FISU Games.
