The position focus on content creation and storytelling for the Media Info System (MIS), an essential resource for accredited media that will feature amazing stories, updates, and quotes from the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games.
Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:
- Oversee a team of freelance and young student photographers covering the FISU Games.
- Plan and assign photography tasks across all venues to ensure diverse and high-quality visual content
- Serve as the point of contact for photographers, ensuring smooth communication and support
- Organise and maintain a photography schedule, ensuring coverage of key events, ceremonies, and athlete moments
- Review and approve submitted photos, ensuring they meet event standards before uploading to the Media Info System (MIS)
- Coordinate equipment needs, access, and logistics for photographers at all venues
Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:
- Proven experience in content creation, media management, or event coverage (sports events preferred)
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple contributors and tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and leadership skills for coordinating teams (Photographers’ Coordinator, News Service Coordinators)
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail (News Service Remote Editors)
- Familiarity with media workflows, content management systems, or large-scale information distribution tools (experience with MIS platforms is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in English (German is a plus)
