Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. Intern Non - Sports & Culture
focus on programme design & event management (m/f/d)
 
In the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games
Full-time / 40 hours per week / compulsory internship for 3-6 months
 
The position is located within the OC in the Non - Sports & Culture team. As part of the Non  - Sports & Culture team, you are responsible for the implementation of the supporting program at one of the respective festival locations (focus Bochum, Essen, Duisburg) to create a unique event experience for spectators and student athletes. 

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

  • Planning, supervision and implementation of (sub-)projects in the area of the supporting program of the event; creation and maintenance of schedules of the festival program
  • Communication, coordination & support of program partners (associations, clubs, artists, exhibitors)
  • Marketing and communication: support in the creation of marketing materials and communication with festival visitors (website, app: Marketing and communication: Support in the creation of marketing materials and communication with festival visitors (website, app)
  • Creation of procurement notes
  • Creation of documents (Word, Excel, presentations) for external use (Office 365); preparation and organization of project meetings, briefings, presentations, documentation
  • Follow-up and evaluation: Support in the analysis of the festival process 
 

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Enrollment at a college/university/vocational school, ideally in the fields of event management, business administration, sports management or comparable
  • Compulsory internship according to study regulations for a duration of 3-6 months
  • Understanding and passion for major sporting events and events and a feel for sporting, cultural and/or socially relevant trends, as well as creative drive and a hands-on mentality
  • Good organizational skills, a structured way of working, quick comprehension and the ability to manage several tasks at the same time and prioritize, cultural and/or socially relevant trends, as well as creative drive and a hands-on mentality

  • Strong communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work in a team: work in a friendly manner and enjoy teamwork

  • The ability to adapt to dynamic requirements and work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Very good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Teams)
  • Driving license class B
